Megaten Metatron ver. 7, I must go crazy that can't help but wanna keep updating...

No, he's not capturing a pigeon, nor holding a pigeon-like energy bolt or anything like that. The idea was come from one of the offices Metatron possesses in the Hebrew Book of Enoch, also known as 3 Enoch.

The book mentioned that Metatron serves the dwelling or settling Presence of God, Shekinah. Somehow disturbingly, there are various interpretations about this word. Shekinah can also be interpreted as the feminine aspect or even the bride of God. But I do really love the idea of Shekinah, for "her" existence provides many wonders about the essence of Divinity.

And actually, there's no concrete images for Shekinah, for "she" is a very spiritual concept. So I choose to depict her in pigeon form, which is a common image of Paraclete, the Holy Spirit in Christianity. I have to clarify that these two concepts shall not be confused, and my own description is very loose on serious religious definition.

Though I kept working on the figurine for almost two weeks, the outcome is still not so satisfying. Guess I made a critical miss on moduling the face, it even doesn't look better than my previous ver.6.

The posture also looks a little bit weird, both my sister and brother went when they saw what I'm doing.

About this, my brother and I have a silly conversation as below:



My brother: What? Looks like he's playing basketball. 0_o

Me: Nah, he's not. But wait, sounds suit him well! Meta's a tall guy and has long arms and legs! How convenient for him to play a slam dunk. $_$

My brother: Yeah, and he even have wings, isn't that freakingly break the rule? ~_~

Me: Indeed~

All right, never mind the bad joke.
